Radio Best is a Slovenian radio station with its main studios located in the country’s capital, Ljubljana, from where it broadcasts its programs via FM (Ljubljana 101.6 – Gorenjska 87.8 – Celje 97.7) and online through its powerful new website. Its programming is mainly music-oriented and targeted at a very young audience.
The company’s technical management has decided to renovate its main broadcast studio, where AEQ’s digital technology naturally plays a key role. At the heart of the entire system is an ultra-compact AEQ CAPITOL-IP8 mixer, through which all the signals produced there are routed.
AEQ CAPITOL IP is a fixed-configuration 8-channel Digital Audio mixing console. In CAPITOL IP, IP connectivity is implemented through a single 16-input/16-output channel module integrated into its core. One of the main strengths of AEQ CAPITOL IP is its extensive input capacity: 4 mic/line inputs, 12 analog inputs, 4 AES/EBU (AES3) stereo digital inputs, 2 USB stereo digital inputs, 2 optional telephone lines, and optional multichannel digital audio links; 16 AoIP channels over two Ethernet connectors or 64 MADI input channels via optical fiber.
The entire project has been coordinated by AEQ Madrid’s technical services in collaboration with the company’s local partner in the country, MTD Broadcast.
