The Hungaroring circuit in Mogyoród, Hungary, is undergoing a comprehensive redevelopment aimed at modernising its infrastructure and facilities. As part of this project, AEQ professional intercom equipment has been supplied to support operational communications at one of the most recognised venues in international motorsport.
AEQ’s Hungarian distribution partner, AV365.hu Kft., supplied the equipment for the project. System integration and installation are carried out by Visual Europe Group, acting as a subcontractor to the main contractor, Bayer Construct Zrt.
The equipment supplied for the project includes:
- 1 × AEQ CROSSNET 72: a high-capacity central matrix providing advanced signal processing and Dante-based routing.
- 2 × AEQ TP8116: rack-mounted intercom panels designed for reliable operation.
- 12 × AEQ TP8416: professional desktop and rack-mounted intercom control panels.
- 5 × AEQ XPEAK_R: portable, IP-based intercom terminals providing flexible connectivity at strategic locations around the circuit.
The AEQ CROSSNET is a professional intercom matrix designed to manage communications in television studios, radio stations, outside broadcast vehicles, and live event productions. It acts as the central system, routing audio signals between connected devices and allowing operators to communicate efficiently. It supports IP-based audio technologies and can integrate with digital and analogue audio systems, depending on the configuration.
The AEQ TP9000 series consists of professional intercom panels that allow users to control their communications directly. Models such as the TP9116 and TP9416 are designed for rack-mounted and desktop installations, respectively. These panels feature programmable keys and colour displays, enabling operators to select communication channels, talk to specific users, listen to different sources, and adjust individual audio levels.
Both systems work together to provide a flexible and reliable communication infrastructure. The CROSSNET matrix manages the audio routing and connections, while the TP9000 panels provide the user interface for controlling daily communication tasks. The system can be configured to meet the requirements of different production environments.
The deployment brings together AEQ’s intercom technology in a configuration tailored to the project’s requirements, drawing on the company’s experience in professional audio and communications systems.
