AUDIO INTERFACES

Audio over IP interfaces and routers
Dante TM AES 67 compatible

With digital, analogue and IP audio inputs and outputs

Multi-channel Audio-over-IP interfaces

Sending audio over IP with off-the-shelf routing equipment offers, for small and medium systems, cost advantages over synchronous solutions over AES 10- MADI links and TDM buses, which have higher capacity, but require powerful hardware equipment. In addition, large TDM systems can reduce their cost and increase their flexibility by using audio-over-IP links to reach equipment with few connection circuits to the central router.

That’s why when developing the AEQ IP audio routing system, routers with AoIP connection and IP connection elements for the consoles, but also the following interfaces or patch panels that allow audio inputs and outputs to be installed where needed.

Description

Technical Details

– Channels: 4 micro line in, 4 line out, in parallel with 4 stereo headphone assignable each pair of headphones over a pair of line outputs.

– 48 V phantom power and electronic balancing for microphone and line inputs.

– Data format: DANTE Audio-over-IP technology.

– Plug-and-play technology. Automatic detection and simple routing of channels.

– Scalable and flexible network topology supporting a large number of audio transmitters and receivers.

– Supports 100 Mbps, 1 Gbps, 10 Gbps network spans.

– Ethernet ports per interface: 2 x RJ45, 100 BASE-T with galvanic isolation, usable for daisy chain connections.

Description

Technical Details

– Ventilation: Totally silent natural convection. Compatible with in-studio operation.

– Connector for external 48V DC power supply supplied. The power supply supports 90 – 264V AC, 47-63Hz. 20VA.

– -10 to + 45ºC (14 to 114ºF).

– NETBOX 8 has a width of half a rack unit and comes with two front rack mounting brackets: – Two units joined by the mounting brackets, installed together with one mounting bracket each, occupy a 19″ rack unit. – One unit with the optional rack kit occupies one 19″ rack unit.

Software

NETBOX RTC

The “NetboxRTC” application allows real-time configuration, modification and control of the resulting audio matrix. Any event or action such as salvos, macros, individual crosspoints, physical and virtual GPOs.

APPLICATIONS

On Windows operating system it performs the following functions:

  • Routing with mixing and distribution of audio from mono or stereo, analogue, digital and Dante inputs, and its delivery to analogue, digital and Dante outputs.
  • Handling of configuration saves and task planning.
  • Multi-equipment and multi-user control, with rights management. Possibility to configure particular views and scenarios and protection of critical lines.
  • Dante signals are routed within the IP network with “Dante Controller”.
