The Core incorporates AEQ technology to take radio training to the next level
Located in Tres Cantos, Madrid, The Core is a higher education center specializing in audiovisual content and entertainment. The institution stands out for its eminently practical approach, supported both by its strategic location and by a teaching staff with industry experience and a network of alliances with companies in the sector.
Its academic offerings range from traditional audiovisual disciplines to content oriented to production and distribution in real professional environments.
The Core is located inside Madrid Content City, considered the largest audiovisual hub in the European Union, with an area of 140,000 square meters that exceeds emblematic complexes such as Cinecittà in Rome or the Cité du Cinéma in Paris. This space is home to major production companies, content creation companies, ancillary services, business centers and entrepreneurs, consolidating itself as a true epicenter of the industry. However, to turn this ecosystem into a global benchmark, it was necessary to incorporate an academic center capable of training professionals in a practical and efficient way. That key element is The Core, conceived not only to supply talent to the hub itself, but also to project it internationally.
In its commitment to high-level technical training, The Core has chosen AEQ technology to equip its radio studios. The center has a main studio and a backup studio, both equipped with AEQ FORUM-IP digital consoles and the AEQ AudioPLUS automation system.
This infrastructure is supported by AoIP (Audio over IP) multichannel digital technology, which places The Core at the forefront of professional equipment for radio teaching.
The AEQ FORUM IP SPLIT console, installed in The Core studios, is specifically designed for ONAIR broadcast control and has all the essential functions for professional broadcast environments. Its features include automatic monitor cut-off, cough function, faderstart, signaling management, external equipment automation, intercom and external communications control. Its modular and compact design allows it to adapt to different types of installation, from self-monitoring configurations to setups with a call center.
The console combines a simple interface with powerful management capabilities, making it suitable for both basic operations and more advanced needs. In addition, it can be integrated with AES67-compliant AoIP multichannel input and output cards using DANTE technology, enabling interoperability with equipment from more than 300 manufacturers over digital audio networks.
AEQ AudioPLUS system, also incorporated in The Core’s studios, offers a comprehensive automation solution for radio stations, especially those that have not yet made the leap to professional technology. This software allows manual, automatic and remote broadcasting, in addition to integrating music and advertising programming functions, as well as content generation and editing tools.
Designed to run on Windows operating systems and SQL Server databases, AEQ AudioPLUS is characterized by its ease of installation through an automatic wizard. In addition, it is compatible with inexpensive sound cards and multiple auxiliary editing and management tools, making it a versatile and accessible option for educational and professional environments.
The supply of the project is completed with all the necessary technical furniture, as well as connection and signaling boxes. The entire project has been coordinated by SESAudio’s technical team together with the technical services of AEQ Madrid and The Core.
