Rede Atlântida relies on AEQ technology to renovate its main studio in Santa Catarina

Rede Atlântida, the largest youth radio network in southern Brazil, has taken a new step in its technical modernization with the addition of the AEQ CAPITOL IP digital console to its main broadcast studio in Santa Catarina.

Owned by the renowned RBS Group, Rede Atlântida was founded in 1981 as an evolution of the Gaúcha-Zero Hora FM radio station, which was established in Porto Alegre in 1976. Since then, it has established itself as a benchmark in the Brazilian radio landscape, connecting millions of young listeners across Rio Grande do Sul and Santa Catarina with vibrant programming that combines the latest pop hits, classic tunes, and afternoon talk radioshows.

As part of its technological renewal strategy, the station has opted for the AEQ CAPITOL IP digital console, a robust, versatile solution specially designed for dynamic radio environments such as Atlântida’s. This model features 8 faders and integrated IP connectivity, enabling efficient and flexible operation.

Among its most notable features, the CAPITOL IP offers a wide range of inputs: 4 mic/line, 12 analog, 4 stereo AES/EBU digital, 2 USB, and the option to integrate telephone lines or multichannel digital audio links. In addition, it allows up to 16 AoIP channels via two Ethernet connections or up to 64 MADI channels via fiber optic.

The choice of this console reinforces Rede Atlântida’s commitment to technical quality and innovation, ensuring a first-class sound experience for its listeners. Thanks to its combination of cutting-edge technology and ease of use, AEQ CAPITOL IP has become one of the most highly regarded consoles by broadcasters around the world.
