Radio Loma was founded in Torreperogil (Jaén, Spain) as a municipal radio station in 2005, broadcasting on 107.7 FM. That same year, Antonio Rosillo Martínez was appointed director of the new station, which is based in the town’s old post office building. The first program to go on air was El Barrero, on December 4, which was joined in the following weeks by classics such as Distorsión and La Diana, until reaching the current production of eight in-house programs. In 2006, Radio Loma became part of the EMA RTV Association of Municipal Radio Stations, establishing itself as a prominent member in the province of Jaén.

Following its recent technological upgrade, the station has opted for AEQ digital technology, which now plays a central role in its system. At the heart of its operations is an ultra-compact AEQ CAPITOL IP mixer, responsible for managing all the signals produced at its facilities. Given the experience and technical demands of its operators, AEQ was chosen for its robustness, superior digital audio quality, and ease of use.
AEQ CAPITOL IP is a fixed-configuration digital audio mixing console with eight channels. Its IP connectivity is based on a single 16-input, 16-output module built into its core. Among its main features is its extensive input capacity: 4 mic/line, 12 analog, 4 AES/EBU (AES3) stereo digital, 2 USB stereo digital, 2 optional telephone lines and optional multichannel digital links, 16 AoIP channels via two Ethernet connectors or 64 MADI channels via fiber optic input.

AEQ CAPITOL console is very popular with broadcasters around the world, as it combines digital technology with IP capabilities and the most advanced features on the market, while offering simple operation and a particularly robust construction. All this makes it the ideal choice for public service studios such as Radio Loma.
