The Slovenian radio station is upgrading its audio infrastructure with a state-of-the-art AoIP solution that enhances operational flexibility, optimizes workflows, and facilitates the integration of new audio sources.

Radio Krka recently completed the modernization of one of its studios with the installation of a new AEQ Capitol IP PLUS digital console, replacing a Capitol IP console previously in use at the station and thereby furthering its transition to IP-based broadcast environments.

The project, carried out in collaboration with local distributor MTD, represents a significant technological advancement for the broadcaster, allowing it to maintain operational continuity and the familiar user experience of the previous system while incorporating new features tailored to current production and broadcast needs.

The choice of Capitol IP PLUS addresses the need for a reliable, flexible platform that is ready for future developments. Its modular architecture, advanced Audio over IP (AoIP) capabilities, and intuitive interface facilitated a smooth transition for both the technical team and the presenters, reducing adaptation time and maintaining the continuity of daily operations.

“The transition from our previous Capitol IP was straightforward thanks to the familiarity of the interface and the retention of the operational philosophy we were already familiar with. At the same time, the new console provides us with greater flexibility, new features, and improved performance to meet current production needs”, Radio Krka notes.

The system also features Bluetooth connectivity, enabling the quick and efficient integration of mobile devices and remote contributors. This functionality facilitates the management of live interviews, external connections, and the incorporation of new audio sources into increasingly dynamic workflows.

Since its launch, the new console has helped improve operational efficiency, increase production flexibility, and optimize the station’s audio performance. Thanks to its scalable, IP-ready architecture, Capitol IP PLUS provides a modern platform designed to accommodate future expansions and new technical requirements.
