Live sports productions require reliable communications, complete mobility, and the ability to adapt to complex operating environments. With this goal in mind, the Mexican company No2—which specializes in engineering, audiovisual production, and broadcast projects—has implemented AEQ Xpeak and Xplorer MAX wireless intercom solutions to strengthen its operations at motorsport events in Mexico.
The first meeting between the two companies took place during NAB 2025, where the No2 team was able to explore the capabilities of the AEQ Xpeak ecosystem and MAX wireless technology, designed to deliver robust communications, low latency, and operational flexibility in live productions.
Subsequently, a technology demonstration was conducted during the SpeedFest event held at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez, testing the system’s performance in a real production environment. The results validated the solution’s ability to meet the demands of sporting events and productions involving highly mobile personnel.
Following this experience, No2 incorporated several AEQ Xplorer MAX wireless terminals and Xpeak IF units into its workflows to expand communication and audio integration capabilities during event production.
Wireless terminals enable full-duplex communication with complete freedom of movement for technical and operational teams, while Xpeak IF interfaces facilitate the integration of analog signals, USB, and AoIP environments based on Dante and AES67, simplifying the connection between production and communications systems.
In addition to its use during SpeedFest-related productions, AEQ Xpeak technology has continued to be used in other projects and events developed by No2, consolidating a workflow based on flexible wireless communications tailored to the needs of live production.
